HOUSTON, TX — A Harris County woman is suing a developer, alleging fraud and inducement. She is represented by attorneys Isaac Villarreal and Veronica Montemayor of McCathern Houston.
Susan Adams filed a complaint May 5 in Harris County District Court against Jalaluddin, doing business as Zema Designer Homes LLC, alleging the developer continues to conceal that it knew the property was defectively constructed prior to selling.
According to the complaint, in 2014, Adams purchased a new home from defendant at 3406 Honsinger, Houston. Almost after moving in, the suit says, Adams learned the home was riddled with serious defects.
After more than two years, the lawsuit states Adams continues to identify new problems with the property. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to mediate in good faith and make a reasonable offer to cover the costs and cure significant defects to the property.
‘Adams seeks trial by jury, monetary relief of more than $100,000, plus attorney fees, court costs and interest, plus all other just and equitable relief.
