McCathern attorney Kristin Hecker of the firm’s Dallas, Texas office was recently published in the May volume of ONE J – the Oil and Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Journal of The University of Oklahoma (OU) College of Law. Her article, “How Can the United States Learn from Foreign Countries’ Transport and Use of Renewable Power?”, analyzes energy transport system legislation and regulations between the U.S. and European Union.

Kristin originally composed the analysis while in law school at SMU, where she graduated in 2019, and was

encouraged by a professor to have it published. Kristin joined McCathern upon graduating and focuses her law practice on Business & Commercial Litigation and Securities Litigation.

According to the Journal’s website, “The University of Oklahoma College of Law’s Oil and Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Journal (ONE J) is a comprehensive publication dedicated to the advancement of domestic and international legal scholarship on oil and gas, and energy law.”

ONE J is a student-managed and publishes six editions per year. Now in its 6th volume, the Journal has published 287 papers on a vast array of topics related to this subject matter. All of the Journal’s selected articles are subject to peer review.
